This is the Year of the Rabbit, in case you didn't know (I certainly didn't, I still write Year of the Yak on all my checks). In honor of which, we went to the Chinese New Year Parade through Chinatown. It was pretty lame, as many of the floats represented elementary schools and the States Postal Service, who sponsored easily six to eight floats themselves.

Charles Schwab sponsored a huge scary one filled with brokers and financial advisers handing out business cards. There were even marching bands playing Madonna tunes. But the float with actual authentic-looking costumes and traditional was the float for the Disney movie, Mulan. It's nice to see some traditions haven't been spoiled by commercialism.

Yes, you're that correctly, it says Bone Marrow Donor.
