Once again, the entire populace of Tampa, dragged their little yard-apes out to Bayshore Blvd. for the huge Boomsday fireworks display. Fortunately this year, I avoided the 500,000 or so unwashed and drunken masses by scamming a ride on a photographer's boat, and watched it from the bay itself. The finale exploded over 6,000 shells, the largest display in the Southeast. And that's really saying something when you consider how close Alabama is (whose State Bird is the bottle rocket).
