I don't pretend to fully understand national finance policy, but I'm pretty sure we can feel confident as citizens when a hurry-up-and-pass-this bill is proposed by our representative government that contains this reassuring clause:

Decisions by the Secretary pursuant to the authority of this Act are non-reviewable and committed to agency discretion, and may not be reviewed by any court of law or any administrative agency.

Whew, and I thought this mortgage meltdown was going to cause us problems. Thanks, oh wise Federal Reserve gurus, for being open, honest and transparent with your "solution." America is truly a beacon of democracy for the world, and not a hotbed of gross corruption and unmitigated greed like so many think.
