If FOXNews hates Ron Paul, he gets my vote.
The reason is pretty simple, actually. The real powers-that-be (who own and control FOXNews), just don't want someone on the ticket that they can't control (and that includes Democratic candidates, too).
Here's FOXNews trying to down-play the Ron Paul debate results (in their own poll!)—What a bunch of lying dicks.
Controlling candidates (or lobbying them, if you prefer) costs money. And the more candidates there are, the more money you need to spend to ensure favorable legislation. Big Business and other interests need the '08 election to feel like a free one, yet with only two viable parties. To keep the Independent, Green and other third party candidates out of the picture, the media simply ignores them.
Having only one Republican and Democratic candidate makes it easier to focus Big Business's efforts and influence on just two people, instead of three (or more). An election with only two viable candidates still gives Americans the impression of having a free and open election without any extra expenses.
At the party level, the RNC and the DNC want to run the candidate THEY choose, not one the People want (how else can you explain the Democrats running John Kerry? You think the masses wanted that guy?). Both parties pretend to be different, but where it counts, they are the same. They'll both do anything they think they have to in order to get elected, because that's all they care about. They'll adopt whichever issues or platforms they think will get the most voters.
Politicians don't care about doing the People's will, helping the country or improving the economy. Just getting elected.
And that's what makes Paul so dangerous.
The more I see Ron Paul talk, the more I think he's the only candidate running who believes what he's saying. Sure, he has some crazy ideas that might be hard to execute (good luck disbanding the IRS, CIA, FBI, etc...), but he genuinely seems to have the country's best interests at heart.
And he speaks from his heart, too, not from talking-points given to him by pollsters. Plus, he's the only candidate who believes and promotes actual American values like small government and individual freedoms? Remember those? Yeah, probably not.
Hell, at this point, I'll vote for Him just to repeal the Patriot Act before Orwell's "1984" Big Brother fears become reality.
